Alive

I went to the opera yesterday. It was exhilarating! It's so invigorating to know that such beauty can still exist. I think I will pick up my piano lessons again. I must get better at playing!

It's on some old structure somewhere. Like everything in the forest, it's hard to find. Seems to be here one day and somewhere else the next. I always sort of find it by accident. Not that I have any need for a piano.

Have you been wandering through the forest again? You know how mother feels about that! Do you have any idea in what kind of danger you're putting yourself? Not to mention the worries you cause mother when she can't trust you.

It's all superstition. There's nothing wrong with the forest.

I doubt it. There's something wrong with everything.

Yeah, it's called rusty Piano Wire. Ruby, Ginger: do your sister a favor and cut the wires out of that thing. It's all rusty and ick, wouldn't want her to get hurt while playing it.

Speaking of the piano in the forest, anyone seen that weird pattern on the ground in front of the amphitheater? It's petty cryptic, like one of Ruby's drawings.

There's stuff like that everywhere in the forest. At times the place looks like a junkyard.

It is not ok to leave even a defective piano in the forest! Only natural things belong there.

With a playground, a graveyard, a largish path, and who knows what else, a piano hardly seems like something to worry about in comparison.
