Burning sun

It has been so hot this week. And it doesn't look like it's going to cool off any time soon. I don't mind a warm day now and then. I don't even mind extreme heat in Summer. But it's only May! I worry. I saw this documentary the other day about the greenhouse effect. Is this warm May the result of that? Is this the beginning of the end? Will we all end in this undignified manner, sweaty and bothered?

You'd think this kind of weather would do wonders for the gloomy forest surrounding grandmother's house. But no. Nothing seems to be able to penetrate that odd dark foliage. Ironically, if the world comes to an end, the loathed forest may become our only refuge against the damaging UV rays of a sun out of control. I'm not looking forward to that.

Although the thought of total annihilation of the world's population is very appealing, I hope it doesn't happen through some silly heat wave. Sunshine is overrated. If only because it encourages people to show parts of their bodies that I prefer not to see.

Well, unlike some people who evaporate as soon as a bit of daylight hits them, I like the sun! And when it is warm, I dress accordingly. If that extra bit of visible skin offends you, I suggest you look the other way. I love the feeling of heat on my skin!

Did you notice how people who live in parts of the world where the sun shines all the time cover their bodies from head to toe to protect themeselves?

Anyway, I wasn't referring to you. You have a beautiful body that is a pleasure to look at, I'm sure. I'm more annoyed by all the fat and ugly people who insist on taking their clothes off as soon as the temperature rises a bit.

Why thank you. That must be the nicest thing you ever said to me! :)

Personally I'm appalled as to how all fashion sense goes out of the window when people try to "dress light". I don't mind the visible skion, but please, people, choose some clothes that flatter you figure! Tsk!

And choose colours other than pink and green! :)

Well, I'm happy to say that it's raining now and cloudy. Much better! :)

I was in the forest today and I came back home completely covered in mud! Mum wasn't too happy.

Rain on the path makes me feel so melancholic.

But it's good for the plants. So I guess it's all right!

Strange...
I've heard that sunlight has a hard time getting through the leaves, so it always seems cloudy in the forest. Isn't it strange that there's so much rain that gets in, but so little sun?

Isn't it strange how we scream into a void at people long dead?
